I think the movie helped illustrate what kind of people Mitch and Morrie were. I felt like I better understood their personalities. The movie was surprisingly similar to the book. Some quotes were out of place and a few facts, such as Mitch's wife, were wrong, but overall the movie actually did a good representation of the book. The interview on the movie seemed to be parts of the real interview that aired on ABC. I recognized parts from the interview that I remembered seeing.
The only problem with the movie is that I might mix up a few minor facts on quiz, such as whether Mitch is married or not. Other than that, I think the movie really helped me to get a better understanding of the book. It would be interesting to see the rest of the movie.

I feel the same in alot of your points with the movie. I don't really think that the movie is a bad thing to do but it might mess us up on some of the questions for quizes and test. I also think that it helped me clear up things that I read in the book that really wasnt very clear...
ReplyDeleteGood Job....
Cant wait to finsh the book
I agree with most of it, but to me it seems like the movie was way off. I am probably just looking to far into the little things that were wrong.
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with the movie throwing me off on tests thing!
I totally agree with you about the movie being pretty much the same. I also think that the movie might confuse us on some quiz questions as well.
ReplyDeleteYay!!
I don't think that it would take much to throw Michael off. Ha!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the things i like about the movie would be that it gives another version of the story and it also gives an image of what Mitch's life was like in addition to the emphasis on Morrie and his thoughts and philosophies. Gives more dimension than the interview and less than the just reading the book. If that makes sense.
There are many similarities between the movie and book but I agree, there are also a lot of differences as well. I think all the dating drama between Janine and Mitch kinda disracts some of the focus away from the relationship between Mitch and Morrie.
